Agustin Quinton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celso Gaufred read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Celso Gaufred took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Tome, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Eustaquio Benvide fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hongo FC's protests and gave Eustaquio Benvide a yellow card for diving instead. 19 minutes into the game, one of Hongo FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 29 minutes into the match, Diana's goal looked a bit too open when Edelmiro Umbruso came free, but Celso Gaufred reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celso Gaufred showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Tome, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Hongo FC's Edelmiro Umbruso got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Celso Gaufred showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Clis in the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute Valentin Tome shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Gaufred saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diana's Celso Gaufred played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Aimar in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Diana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Franco to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute of the match Clemente Esquipula sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celso Gaufred skillfully saved the ball. Celso Gaufred stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valentin Tome's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. The wind increased when Valentin Tome made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Isaac Clis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hongo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diana the free kick. After 54 played minutes Hongo FC got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Clis. Maximo Aimar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Celso Gaufred when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Agustin Quinton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Eustaquio Ireno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nestor Jokin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 71st minute, Hongo FC's Agustin Quinton ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Celso Gaufred. Celso Gaufred yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Hongo FC's Hector Hodei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Jokin in the 75th minute of play. Celso Gaufred showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Tome, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Maximo Aimar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Celso Gaufred, 2-3. Hongo FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
