Hilario Faron didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristobal Gilesindo went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Domingo Arnalt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Gilesindo in the 25th minute of play forced Club Dep. Union Madereros's goalkeeper Hilario Faron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hilario Faron made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Olando in the 28th minute. Hilario Faron made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Martin Olando sent off a good shot on target. Patria Argentina's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cristobal Gilesindo in the 29th minute. In the 34thth minute of the game Cristobal Santana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Patria Argentina's Falo Duro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Lucas Abella's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Falo Duro was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 38th match minute, Patria Argentina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristobal Gilesindo to maneuver through the defense. Lucas Abella took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Falo Duro. Falo Duro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Cristobal Santana put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Falo Duro.

Club Dep. Union Madereros's David Lynch was substituted for Maximiliano Marin. Hilario Faron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristobal Gilesindo in the 54th minute of play. When David Lynch fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Dep. Union Madereros's protests and gave David Lynch a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Club Dep. Union Madereros getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. David Lynch hit a great ball. Club Dep. Union Madereros made a substitution. Aurelio Clodio replaced David Lynch. In the 59th minute, David Lynch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domingo Arnalt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Faron having to interfere. Santos Esdras kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Cristobal Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Santos Esdras hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Santos Esdras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Falo Duro came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Dep. Union Madereros's Anibal Aureo. But to his dismay, Anibal Aureo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. The supporters of Club Dep. Union Madereros booed when Patria Argentina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristobal Gilesindo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Falo Duro made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Anibal Aureo sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute Esteban Guillelmus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Faron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Dep. Union Madereros's Hilario Faron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Olando in the 92nd minute of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Esteban Guillelmus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Patria Argentina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esteban Guillelmus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Club Dep. Union Madereros supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Dep. Union Madereros would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
