It was a well-played corner which Guillermo Guilabertus managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Kong Yan Qiang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Gaitan having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Anibal Gergori got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the game, Saturnino Txordon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Fabio Gaitan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fabio Gaitan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kong Yan Qiang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Albano Ciano fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Central Cerro Monje's protests and gave Albano Ciano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Central Cerro Monje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albano Ciano to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute Anibal Gergori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Gaitan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 minutes Central Cerro Monje's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ramon Robres who took care of the corner kick. Lomas de Zamora FC's Ramon Robres was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fabio Gaitan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Anier Pueblo thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Fabio Gaitan, a very annoying self made goal in the 19th minute which led to 0-3. Anibal Gergori sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camilo Balbi kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After 31 played minutes Central Cerro Monje got a freekick which was hit by Albano Ciano. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Anibal Gergori put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Fabio Gaitan. After a defensive mix-up in Central Cerro Monje's zone, Saturnino Txordon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Gaitan came out of the goal and Saturnino Txordon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 45 played minutes Central Cerro Monje got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Herrera. 46 minutes into the match, Central Cerro Monje's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon Robres came free, but Fabio Gaitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Fabio Gaitan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 58 minutes, Saturnino Txordon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lomas de Zamora FC and the Central Cerro Monje players grew even worse after the yellow card. Saturnino Txordon hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Anibal Gergori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Gaitan having to interfere. Saturnino Txordon might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Gaitan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saturnino Txordon ran back to his position shaking his head. When Saturnino Txordon came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Lomas de Zamora FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saturnino Txordon couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Gergori in the 68th minute of play forced Central Cerro Monje's goalkeeper Fabio Gaitan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute of the match Lomas de Zamora FC got a corner. Central Cerro Monje's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ramon Robres ran over to the corner to take the kick. At last the ball reached Sebastian Orixe at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Central Cerro Monje. 0-7. Fabio Gaitan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anibal Gergori in the 77th minute of the match. Anibal Gergori recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Lomas de Zamora FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ramon Robres hit a great ball. After 82 played minutes Central Cerro Monje got a freekick which was hit by Marciano Soin. Fabio Gaitan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anibal Gergori's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute Lomas de Zamora FC were awarded a corner. Ramon Robres went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Lomas de Zamora FC's Ramon Robres to fire away a dangerous shot which Fabio Gaitan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Anibal Gergori's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Fabio Gaitan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 92nd minute, Sebastian Orixe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anibal Gergoris short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Fabio Gaitan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Anibal Gergori in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fabio Gaitan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the final whistle sounded Lomas de Zamora FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Central Cerro Monje.
