Spectators: 7467 (Terracing: 5601, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Enrique Innocenzio started the match with the kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Ildefonso Claude managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gaypón FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ildefonso Claude was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gregorio Ortle came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Gaypón FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregorio Ortle couldn't finish the play. Justo Gonza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Jesus Fernanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Justo Gonza struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Jesus Fernanco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gaypón FC. Cirilo Abalos scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eliseo Manex, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gregorio Innocenzio hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After 22 minutes of play, Gaypón FC's Gregorio Ortle made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jesus Fernanco was left in no man's land by his defense there! 26 minutes into the match, Gaypón FC's goalkeeper Eliseo Manex had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cirilo Abalos. If Justo Gonza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Ildefonso Claude shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesus Fernanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th match minute, Scofield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaudencio Ferran to maneuver through the defense. After 33 played minutes Scofield got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Innocenzio. After having played for 38 minutes, Ildefonso Claude managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gaypón FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ildefonso Claude was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaypón FC's Gregorio Ortle got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Scofield's Cirilo Abalos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eliseo Manex. Eliseo Manex yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gregorio Ortle made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Gregorio Ortle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gaypón FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gregorio Ortle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesus Fernanco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ildefonso Claude recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Justo Gonza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Enrique Pacifico had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jesus Fernanco. Scofield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enrique Pacifico was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. When Rodolfo Maiorga fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Scofield's protests and gave Rodolfo Maiorga a yellow card for diving instead. Rodolfo Maiorga kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Gregorio Ortle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jesus Fernanco didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 68th minute, which inside left pole to 2-3. Gaypón FC's Gregorio Ortle got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 74 minutes, Gregorio Innocenzio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scofield and the Gaypón FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gregorio Ortle who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Jesus Fernanco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Evaristo Dominguez charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evaristo Dominguez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Scofield booed when Gaypón FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Dominguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evaristo Dominguez kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After 84 minutes, Augusto Frascuelo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gaypón FC and the Scofield players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gaypón FC's Augusto Frascuelo got a free kick in the 84th minute. Eliseo Manex took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Innocenzio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Gaypón FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Scofield.
