Leones FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sixto Santxol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maximino Berto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicasio Gudesteo having to make a save. 18 minutes into the game, Leones FC's Maximino Berto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicasio Gudesteo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Maximino Berto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Nicasio Gudesteo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's David Tabor got a free kick in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Baleren in the 24th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Anastasio Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When David Tabor fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leones FC's protests and gave David Tabor a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th match minute, Leones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Tabor to maneuver through the defense. Anastasio Pedroso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desiderio Baleren in the 27th minute of the match. Nicasio Gudesteo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Elija, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Maximino Berto succeeded in the game's 44th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maximino Berto made a kick off. Anastasio Pedroso was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Eloy Indalecio. Nicasio Gudesteo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Venancio Nahia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Betania's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leones FC the free kick. The supporters of Leones FC booed when Betania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Nahia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leones FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
