A very good chance. Delmiro Viviano's late challenge caught a Antilla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomás Frechoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Corderun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 47 played minutes VELEZ got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Corderun. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

If Dionisio Beliran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonio Rik struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Tomás Frechoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VELEZ. Tomás Frechoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anacleto Tibalt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 68 minutes, Efrain Corderun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VELEZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Efrain Corderun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute of the match, Antonio Rik got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tomás Frechoso was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 72 minutes into the match, Anacleto Tibalt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomás Frechoso. Antilla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anacleto Tibalt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Anacleto Tibalt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute Anacleto Tibalt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Frechoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Corderun in the 78th minute of play forced Antilla's goalkeeper Tomás Frechoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Rik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Frechoso having to interfere. Efrain Corderun succeeded in the game's 83rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Antonio Rik managed to get in a good position for a shot. VELEZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonio Rik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Frechoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Antonio Rik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Frechoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Efrain Corderun in the 90th minute of the match. VELEZ's Efrain Corderun got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 97th minute, Efrain Corderun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. VELEZ played a much better game than Antilla and deserved their victory. The Antilla players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
