Fernando Petrigai started the match with the kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Edgardo Laffitte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frontera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgardo Laffitte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 6 minutes into the game, Edgardo Laffitte cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jimeno Betadur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edgardo Laffitte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jimeno Betadur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Petrigai in the 12th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes Puerto Nuevo got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Papo. Fernando Petrigai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute, Serafin Reynardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gogo Vitin in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Victorino Tiadoro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 37 minutes into the match, Amador Opilano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jimeno Betadur. Puerto Nuevo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amador Opilano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Anier Tabb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gogo Vitin to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Frontera got a freekick which was hit by Fernan Ongile. After having played for 54 minutes, Amador Opilano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frontera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amador Opilano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Frontera's zone, Gogo Vitin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorino Tiadoro came out of the goal and Gogo Vitin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Vitin in the 58th minute of play forced Frontera's goalkeeper Victorino Tiadoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgardo Laffitte got free with Jimeno Betadur in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 61st minute, Edgardo Laffitte made a precise shot to the right of Jimeno Betadur. Puerto Nuevo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Gogo Vitin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Victorino Tiadoro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frontera's Victorino Tiadoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Tabb in the 78th minute of play. Anier Tabb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgardo Laffitte struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Jimeno Betadur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frontera. The Frontera supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Frontera would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
