Ignacio Berenguer made in the 14th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Augusto Cordario immediately put the ball in play. Daniel Ordono came out of the goal and Augusto Cordario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Cordario in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Ordono saved Centenario FC from getting behind. Centenario FC's Daniel Ordono played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Cordario in the 22nd minute of play. Daniel Ordono showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Cordario in the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of Velez Sarsfield booed when Centenario FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Hustaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Augusto Cordario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velez Sarsfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Cordario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 31st minute, Augusto Cordario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Centenario FC's Daniel Ordono played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Cordario in the 33rd minute of play. Daniel Ordono showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Cordario, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Augusto Cordario might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Ordono. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augusto Cordario ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Ordono showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Cordario in the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Centenario FC's goalkeeper Daniel Ordono, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnoldo Mel during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Augusto Cordario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dionisio Marino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Ordono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the game, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Ordono made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Augusto Cordario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Ordono having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Centenario FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Cordario came free, but Daniel Ordono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Ordono narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Ago Tramp hit a great ball. Ago Tramp kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Augusto Cordario was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 67th minute. Velez Sarsfield's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ago Tramp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Daniel Ordono made a huge save. Augusto Cordario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Daniel Ordono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Velez Sarsfield's Leandro Berti was substituted for Ignacio Berenguer. Augusto Cordario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Ordono read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Daniel Ordono took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Cordario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Ordono made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Augusto Cordario sent off a good shot on target. The Centenario FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Velez Sarsfield were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
