The throw-in from Hipolito Darien in the 3rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Velez Sarsfield's Arnoldo Mel. If Augusto Cordario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Cordario in the 3rd minute of play forced Sensación FC's goalkeeper Dandung Kalangi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dandung Kalangi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Cordario in the 7th minute. Dandung Kalangi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Cordario, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Erwin Huygens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiro Etxatxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dandung Kalangi came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario. But to his dismay, Augusto Cordario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 26th minute Augusto Cordario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dandung Kalangi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Cordario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute, Augusto Cordario left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Velez Sarsfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Dandung Kalangi made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Leandro Berti sent off a good shot on target.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pablo Polentzi made a kick off. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sensación FC's goalkeeper Dandung Kalangi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hipolito Darien made in the 56th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Velez Sarsfield's Arnoldo Mel. The referee felt a red card was in order, 60 minutes into the game, when Marcos Pacifico put in a rough tackle. Marcos Pacifico kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Erwin Huygens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pablo Polentzi in the 63rd minute. Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Polentzi in the 67th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Erwin Huygens successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 76th match minute, Sensación FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hipolito Darien to maneuver through the defense. Sensación FC made a substitution. Emilio Orti replaced Mete Goleš. Sensación FC made a substitution. Raimundo Ostots replaced Ramiro Etxatxu. Velez Sarsfield's Jacinto Quilino was substituted for Augusto Cordario. Dandung Kalangi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filomeno Montrell went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Orti in the 92nd minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Erwin Huygens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Orti came free, but Erwin Huygens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronan Mistral kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 96th minute of the match Ariel Guillelme sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erwin Huygens skillfully saved the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Velez Sarsfield were victorious despite being under pressure from Sensación FC for much of the match.
