Orbay Ergener showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Artime in the 24th minute of the match. The corner led Esparta FC's Efrain Trifol to fire away a dangerous shot which Orbay Ergener despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Orbay Ergener made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Luís Artime sent off a good shot on target. Ruperto Sedeni who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Orbay Ergener when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Luís Artime managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esparta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Artime was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orbay Ergener breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Piñeyro defense, Ruperto Sedeni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Orbay Ergener. The Piñeyro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orbay Ergener should have stopped the shot. 45 minutes into the match, Esparta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Onofre Covarrubias came free, but Hernan Lorencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Piñeyro's Orbay Ergener played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Artime in the 52nd minute of play. Francisco Vincente kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Genaro Padro's late challenge caught a Esparta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genaro Padro helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Piñeyro getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Genaro Padro hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, Piñeyro's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Artime came free, but Orbay Ergener reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes in the game Omar Restu did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Fulgencio Osorio. Orbay Ergener showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Artime in the 65th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Ruperto Sedeni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orbay Ergener saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, one of Piñeyro:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Esparta FC a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Efrain Trifol, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Piñeyro's Orbay Ergener. 3-0. The supporters of Esparta FC booed when Piñeyro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Onofre Covarrubias didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Onofre Covarrubias in the 79th minute of play forced Esparta FC's goalkeeper Hernan Lorencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Onofre Covarrubias could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Hernan Lorencio however easily saved by the left post. Luís Artime scored 4-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Orbay Ergener, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Omar Restu made in the 86th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Genaro Padro however managed to control. Ramon Muc hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Sebastiaan Gavilanes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Hernan Lorencio made a huge save. Orbay Ergener came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Esparta FC's Luís Artime. But to his dismay, Luís Artime quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Piñeyro players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Esparta FC.
