The supporters of Esparta FC booed when Leña y Leña was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Aimar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Nicholas was a little too slow when Luís Artime got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 11 minutes of play, Esparta FC's Luís Artime made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joel Nicholas was left in no man's land by his defense there! After taking down the ball on Esparta FC's corner Efrain Trifol fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Joel Nicholas quite easily take care of the ball. In the 35th match minute, Leña y Leña was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ceferino Nabar to maneuver through the defense. Severiano Argina made in the 37th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Esparta FC's German Lalla. Severiano Argina made in the 42nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ceferino Nabar immediately put the ball in play. Luís Artime took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Nicholas. Joel Nicholas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ruperto Sedeni made a kick off. Luís Artime took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Nicholas. Joel Nicholas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. When Esparta FC's Luís Artime in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leña y Leña's goalie prevented a goal. In the 57th match minute, Esparta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laureano Cloyo to maneuver through the defense. The corner ended in Efrain Trifol almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Leña y Leña's Joel Nicholas did a great save. In the 67th minute, Ruperto Sedeni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Esparta FC's Grigoris Ntountas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ermegildo Mosen, made in the 70th minute of the game. Severiano Argina charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severiano Argina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 76 minutes, Luís Artime managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esparta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Artime was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Artime, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severiano Argina got a throw-in 78 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ermegildo Mosen. Joel Nicholas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Artime's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. 87 minutes in the game Severiano Argina did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ceferino Nabar. When Esparta FC's Luís Artime in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leña y Leña's goalie prevented a goal. Joel Nicholas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruperto Sedeni's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute.
