After 26 minutes of play, River Plate's Remigio Conrao made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vladimiro Rocendo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 30 minutes into the match, Tegua's goalkeeper Vladimiro Rocendo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Remigio Conrao. River Plate's Roberto Sedeni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Correia in the 33rd minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dante Cuartio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Casimiro Roano hit a great ball. Vladimiro Rocendo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltasar Estebe in the 61st minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Sérgio Correia got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jonas Egoitz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roberto Sedeni having to make a save. Remigio Conrao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. River Plate made a substitution. Serafino Rosario replaced Baltasar Estebe. After 74 minutes of play River Plate's Casimiro Roano was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 75th minute, Casimiro Roano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vladimiro Rocendo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigio Conrao in the 79th minute of the match. Tegua's Dante Cuartio got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Sérgio Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tegua's supporters rose to their feet, but Sérgio Correia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Sedeni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Santos Vedillo hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84thth minute of the game Remigio Conrao who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tegua's Vladimiro Rocendo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 91 minutes into the game, Eusebio Ibar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tegua the free kick. Eusebio Ibar kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dante Cuartio in the 95th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Roberto Sedeni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. River Plate's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
