Mauro Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Tegua booed when Centro Español was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Brun didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Dante Cuartio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celestino Orzaize. Centro Español's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dante Cuartio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A throw-in in the 12th minute of the game was made by Silvestre Rozarius with Ariel Maore as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Ariel Maore could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Vladimiro Rocendo made a huge save. Sérgio Correia hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute Albino Estebe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Rocendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sérgio Correia struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Celestino Orzaize didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tegua. Celestino Orzaize made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Cuartio in the 24th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Centro Español's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Cuartio came free, but Celestino Orzaize reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Dante Cuartio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celestino Orzaize was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Gombal in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladimiro Rocendo saved Tegua from getting behind. Vladimiro Rocendo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albino Estebe in the 36th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Sérgio Correia had to leave the field with a concussion. 36 minutes into the game, Horacio Etxekopar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Centro Español's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tegua the free kick. In the 39th minute, Sebastian Gombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Centro Español booed when Tegua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bud Bundy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albino Estebe to make the kick off. When Albino Estebe came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Centro Español fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albino Estebe couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Centro Español getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Albino Estebe hit a great ball. Vladimiro Rocendo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Maore in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Centro Español's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bud Bundy fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 64th minute, Dante Cuartio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Isaias Bidun fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Centro Español's protests and gave Isaias Bidun a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Centro Español fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! In the 72nd match minute, Centro Español was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Etxekopar to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Centro Español's goalkeeper Celestino Orzaize, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Centro Español's Celestino Orzaize got control of the ball when Marcelo Salas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Bud Bundy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tegua fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. 89 minutes into the match, Centro Español's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Egoitz came free, but Celestino Orzaize reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Centro Español defense, Marcelo Salas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celestino Orzaize. The Centro Español fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celestino Orzaize should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santos Vedillo during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Tegua:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Centro Español:s goal.
