The long shot by Martin Urko in the 5th minute really tested Marcial Matxin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 6th minute Jose Macias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Matxin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Villa Libre FC's Jonatan Rosario was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 14th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 22ndth minute of the game Jonatan Rosario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Escriña AFC's Marcial Matxin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot by Martin Urko from long distance, 26 minutes into the match, got Marcial Matxin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Marcial Matxin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonatan Rosario's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Virgilio Garoa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olavo Penha. Villa Libre FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Virgilio Garoa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Jose Macias got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Jose Macias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villa Libre FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jose Macias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcial Matxin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Luisito Nisio came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Villa Libre FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisito Nisio couldn't finish the play. If Jose Macias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Virgilio Garoa to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes of play, Villa Libre FC's Luisito Nisio made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcial Matxin was left in no man's land by his defense there! 60 minutes into the match, Luisito Nisio notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Escriña AFC's Marcial Matxin. Marcial Matxin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcial Matxin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisito Nisio in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute of the match Villa Libre FC got a corner. Escriña AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Natalio Phelipe ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Escriña AFC's goalie and right to Jose Macias. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Escriña AFC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 69 minutes into the match, Octavio Gonzales had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olavo Penha. Villa Libre FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Octavio Gonzales was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-2. In the 71st match minute, Villa Libre FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Froilan Darien to maneuver through the defense. When Jose Macias came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Villa Libre FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Macias couldn't finish the play. Villa Libre FC's Luisito Nisio got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Jose Macias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Villa Libre FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-2. In the 82nd minute Isaac Mincho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavo Penha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcial Matxin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisito Nisio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Escriña AFC's zone, Luisito Nisio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Matxin came out of the goal and Luisito Nisio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the match, Luisito Nisio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcial Matxin. Escriña AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luisito Nisio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-2. Jonatan Rosario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luisito Nisio struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Marcial Matxin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villa Libre FC. When Luisito Nisio came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Villa Libre FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisito Nisio couldn't finish the play.
