Calva's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Donato Celio scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armando Blanco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luis Lluis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Umea in the 16th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Fernan Jokin notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Calva's Armando Blanco. Armando Blanco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 21 minutes into the game, Bunge's Donato Celio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armando Blanco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 27th minute, Fernan Jokin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bunge fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Fernan Jokin sped through Calva's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Armando Blanco. After a rather tough play, Calva's Higinio Anaya got a free kick in the 38th minute. Donato Celio might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Blanco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donato Celio ran back to his position shaking his head. Armando Blanco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Celio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armando Blanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Celio in the 43rd minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Calva's Armando Blanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernan Jokin in the 51st minute of play. Armando Blanco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernan Jokin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Fernan Jokin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Bunge's Armando Blanco threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fernan Jokin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Fernan Jokin had several of the Calva's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 67 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-8 score and a disappointed Armando Blanco as he didn't even see the shot coming. After some careless play in the Calva defense, Donato Celio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Blanco. The Calva fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Blanco should have stopped the shot. When Calva's Adolfo Ignado, in the 75th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Calva. Bunge made a substitution. Jorge Asier replaced Fernan Jokin. 78 minutes into the match, Calva's goalkeeper Armando Blanco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donato Celio. In the 80th minute, Jorge Asier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bunge fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-10. When Donato Celio came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Bunge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Celio couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the match, Donato Celio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Armando Blanco, 0-11. 89 minutes into the game, Donato Celio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-12. Armando Blanco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bunge made a substitution. Eriberto Montrelle replaced Marciano Orlan. The supporters of Calva booed when Bunge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Rico didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Angelino Rico got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Bunge. When the final whistle sounded Bunge left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Calva.
