Sidney Ashford stood somewhat misplaced when Faustino Brun came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 25 minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roberto Chan during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Faustino Brun's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Sidney Ashford skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sidney Ashford made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celestino Pello in the 32nd minute. In the 40th minute of the match, Faustino Brun tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sidney Ashford saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Guascan AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Santos Olivar was slow to take the kick. During this time Boca Juniors's players had a chance to rest. Anier Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Cordarryl having to interfere. Guascan AFC's Sidney Ashford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Joanes in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Faustino Brun made a kick off. Artemio Argoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Guascan AFC defense, Faustino Brun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sidney Ashford. The Guascan AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sidney Ashford should have stopped the shot. With 60 minutes on the clock, Nicasio Ihintza commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Julian Eleazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Cordarryl having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Santos came free, but Luciano Cordarryl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Guascan AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Fernando Navarro Montoya to maneuver through the defense. Boca Juniors's Santos Olivar couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 68th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Guascan AFC. After 75 played minutes Guascan AFC got a freekick which was hit by Anier Rios. Boca Juniors's Anselmo Eusko was substituted for Celestino Pello. Sidney Ashford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Brun, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Faustino Brun struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Sidney Ashford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Juniors. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. In the 88th minute there was a penalty for Boca Juniors. Faustino Brun stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sidney Ashford. 7-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santos Olivar during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luciano Cordarryl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Santos in the 92nd minute of the match. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Guascan AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Raymon didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 98 minutes, Faustino Brun put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sidney Ashford. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Boca Juniors fully deserved thier win.
