The audience thought a goal was coming when Patryk Mocko got free with Camilo Montay in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joaquin Larpe kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. When Guillermo Urbasa came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Azhor FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillermo Urbasa couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Joaquin Larpe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tala FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquin Larpe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camilo Montay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 15 played minutes Azhor FC got a freekick which was hit by Diego Hermon. Joaquin Larpe hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The supporters of Tala FC booed when Azhor FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Mannie didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Patryk Mocko kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Camilo Montay. That made the score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Azhor FC's zone, Bernardino Harri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Montay came out of the goal and Bernardino Harri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Hermon during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Diego Hermon hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Alonzo Rey kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Camilo Montay was a little too slow when Patryk Mocko got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-0. 41 minutes into the match, Azhor FC's goalkeeper Camilo Montay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patryk Mocko. In the 42nd match minute, Azhor FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Hermon to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the game, Teodoro Leoncio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Azhor FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tala FC the free kick. Teodoro Leoncio kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Constantino Furman to make the kick off.
