In the 16th match minute, Go Vegan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Raphael to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, Go Vegan's Reynaldo Bernad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aytaç Bartu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 28 played minutes Reynaldo Bernad rounded River plate's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. After taking down the ball on Go Vegan's corner Wlodzimierz Burdalski fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aytaç Bartu quite easily take care of the ball. If Reynaldo Bernad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 47th minute Reynaldo Bernad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aytaç Bartu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rene Illart to make the kick off. A collision led to River plate getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Frank Dolby hit a great ball. Aytaç Bartu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Bernad in the 53rd minute of play. 53 minutes into the game, Go Vegan's Reynaldo Bernad nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aytaç Bartu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reynaldo Bernad in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aytaç Bartu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 60 minutes into the game, Oscar Oliveiro threw the ball into play from the sideline. Go Vegan's Claudio Vincent quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by River plate's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wlodzimierz Burdalski was slow to take the kick. During this time Go Vegan's players had a chance to rest. In the 78th minute, Jonatan Iturri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of River plate booed when Go Vegan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Cordara didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marcelino Claus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, River plate's Jonatan Iturri got a free kick in the 90th minute. Wlodzimierz Burdalski made a great header on Go Vegan's corner, it was just that River plate's Aytaç Bartu managed to reach the ball for a save.
