Akamas Farmakis scored 1-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alvaro Abadia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 15 minutes into the match, Dave Basso notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Confederacion Argentina's Alvaro Abadia. Alvaro Abadia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Albino Maiorga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Matei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
