The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sven-Hendrik Ohmer might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Urbano Reyes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sven-Hendrik Ohmer ran back to his position shaking his head. Urbano Reyes made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Sven-Hendrik Ohmer sent off a good shot on target. If Sven-Hendrik Ohmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 11th minute Sven-Hendrik Ohmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbano Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Iban hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Sven-Hendrik Ohmer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Urbano Reyes. That made the score 2-0 in the 12 minute of play. Urbano Reyes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Hendrik Ohmer in the 16th minute of the match. After 18 minutes Corazuli's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tiburcio Guillelmo who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Froilan Nerio heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 20th minute Amado Feliu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Salvadore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 minutes of play, C.A.Esparta's Sven-Hendrik Ohmer made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Urbano Reyes was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Sven-Hendrik Ohmer put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Urbano Reyes. If Sven-Hendrik Ohmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evelio Salvadore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Bortzaioriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The supporters of C.A.Esparta booed when Corazuli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bosse Houth didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, C.A.Esparta's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Feliu came free, but Evelio Salvadore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven-Hendrik Ohmer was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Corazuli defense, Sven-Hendrik Ohmer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Urbano Reyes. The Corazuli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Urbano Reyes should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Corazuli's Bosse Houth got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 67th minute, Sven-Hendrik Ohmer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 71 played minutes Corazuli got a freekick which was hit by Amado Feliu. Corazuli's Leandro Elizardo was substituted for Gerónimo Saccardi. A collision led to Corazuli getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Amado Feliu hit a great ball. Urbano Reyes came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by C.A.Esparta's Oswaldo Junior. But to his dismay, Oswaldo Junior quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Oswaldo Junior sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Junior in the 76th minute of play forced Corazuli's goalkeeper Urbano Reyes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urbano Reyes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswaldo Junior, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 84 minutes into the match, Oswaldo Junior had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Urbano Reyes. Corazuli's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oswaldo Junior was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. A collision led to C.A.Esparta getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Ronaldo Queirós hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Oswaldo Junior made a precise shot to the right of Urbano Reyes. Corazuli's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oswaldo Junior in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Urbano Reyes saved Corazuli from getting behind. C.A.Esparta's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
