Eusebio Elorri did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Howie Devaud 9 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, El Ridiculo Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Osmundo came free, but Marcelino Oroitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Osmundo in the 15th minute of play forced El Ridiculo Football Club's goalkeeper Marcelino Oroitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Ridiculo Football Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wincent Jankowski was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Irrompibles's players had a chance to rest. Otso Lumio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Howie Devaud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Ciro Lawrence in the 22nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Los Irrompibles's Christos Moustopoulos. In the 25th minute, Gustavo Heriberto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelino Oroitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Gustavo Heriberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Heriberto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelino Oroitz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. In the 35th minute Gustavo Heriberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Oroitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to El Ridiculo Football Club getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ciro Lawrence hit a great ball. With his leg Howie Devaud managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when El Ridiculo Football Club's Eusebio Elorri fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eusebio Elorri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Otso Lumio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Howie Devaud was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Howie Devaud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Elorri in the 54th minute of the match. Los Irrompibles made a substitution. Placido Aguirre replaced Celso Osmundo. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los Irrompibles's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jeremias Lucado was slow to take the kick. During this time El Ridiculo Football Club's players had a chance to rest. El Ridiculo Football Club's Jeremias Lucado was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Howie Devaud in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jeremias Lucado kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 89th match minute, El Ridiculo Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Lucado to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the match, Eusebio Elorri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Howie Devaud. Los Irrompibles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eusebio Elorri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2.
