Baskın Nihat was extremely unlucky when he, in the 25th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With a little luck, Defensores de Mar de Ajó's Kleopas Plouffe got control of the ball when Elpidio Gonzales tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee ignored Defensores de Mar de Ajó's protests and gave Valentin Laurendi a yellow card for diving instead. Valentin Laurendi kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Kleopas Plouffe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baskın Nihat, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The referee gave Defensores de Mar de Ajó a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by David Best, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of TEMPLE F.C.'s Rodolfo Ricart. 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elpidio Gonzales was the one to do the kick off. In the 61st minute of the match Defensores de Mar de Ajó got a corner. TEMPLE F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Best ran over to the corner to take the kick. With an all-out effort, Defensores de Mar de Ajó's Rodolfo Ricart threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cesar Romildo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 66 minutes into the match, Cesar Romildo notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of TEMPLE F.C.'s Rodolfo Ricart. Gogo Elequemedo struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Rodolfo Ricart didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defensores de Mar de Ajó. TEMPLE F.C.'s Rodolfo Ricart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gogo Elequemedo in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Cesar Romildo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Defensores de Mar de Ajó's goalkeeper Kleopas Plouffe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to TEMPLE F.C. getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Feliciano Salomon hit a great ball. Rodolfo Ricart was a little too slow when Gogo Elequemedo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 97th minute. The score was now 0-4. Chants of Defensores de Mar de Ajó echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as TEMPLE F.C. had held the ball for most of the match.
