The New Borbotones fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Laureano Precioso should have stopped the shot. Bernardo Loren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wambasther Romário in the 12th minute. When Artemio Odol came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Sacando del Medio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artemio Odol couldn't finish the play. Sacando del Medio's Bernardo Loren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Garcia in the 15th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Candido Ondino put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bernardo Loren. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sacando del Medio walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
