The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Modesto Olentzaro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Aldo Fernanco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Retorno de Palermo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A.MALVINAS.ARG the free kick. After 12 played minutes El Retorno de Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Fernanco. Wilfredo Maidana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Olentzaro having to interfere. During the 14th minute of the match Angelino Bernard completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Angelino Bernard a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of C.A.MALVINAS.ARG booed when El Retorno de Palermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Bernard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Modesto Olentzaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inge Johnsson in the 16th minute of play. Esteban Panfilo was shown his second yellow card after 17 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Modesto Olentzaro came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A.MALVINAS.ARG's Arsenio Maria. But to his dismay, Arsenio Maria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Inge Johnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Modesto Olentzaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Maidana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25thth minute of the game Arsenio Maria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Retorno de Palermo's Modesto Olentzaro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Arsenio Maria notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of El Retorno de Palermo's Modesto Olentzaro. Modesto Olentzaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Modesto Olentzaro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilfredo Maidana went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. El Retorno de Palermo's Modesto Olentzaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inge Johnsson in the 40th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernesto Claude during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ernesto Claude kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After some careless play in the El Retorno de Palermo defense, Arsenio Maria kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Modesto Olentzaro. The El Retorno de Palermo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Modesto Olentzaro should have stopped the shot. Cristo Lorencio hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. C.A.MALVINAS.ARG's Arsenio Maria got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aldo Fernanco to make the kick off. The supporters of El Retorno de Palermo booed when C.A.MALVINAS.ARG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Maidana didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfredo Maidana in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Modesto Olentzaro saved El Retorno de Palermo from getting behind. 59 minutes in the game, Inge Johnsson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Modesto Olentzaro having to interfere. Cristo Lorencio kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. With a little luck, El Retorno de Palermo's Modesto Olentzaro got control of the ball when Arsenio Maria tried to sneak it across the goal line. Candido Inko received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Modesto Olentzaro came out and tried to block the shot, but Candido Inko slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute, C.A.MALVINAS.ARG's Arsenio Maria ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Modesto Olentzaro. Modesto Olentzaro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. In the 67th minute, Inge Johnsson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Modesto Olentzaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsenio Maria in the 72nd minute of play. Inge Johnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, C.A.MALVINAS.ARG's Arsenio Maria dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-10. Modesto Olentzaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Generoso Matai in the 81st minute of the match. Adan Galo scored 0-11 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Modesto Olentzaro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Inge Johnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Modesto Olentzaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Generoso Matai in the 89th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Adan Galo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Modesto Olentzaro was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. El Retorno de Palermo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Arsenio Maria 96 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-12. C.A.MALVINAS.ARG's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
