The Gerli Vikings fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Silban should have stopped the shot. Bernardo Oinaz kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gerli Vikings's goalkeeper Marcelo Silban, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Gerli Vikings's goal looked a bit too open when Genaro Aresti came free, but Marcelo Silban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Maracanaso F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Jimeno Alonso came free, but Enrique Heli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Teddi Gaafar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. David Maureo tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Marcelo Silban. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-6 in the 45th minute. The Gerli Vikings players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maracanaso F.C were winning 0-6.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evaristo Joseph made a kick off. In the 57th minute, Teddi Gaafar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Silban was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Marcelo Silban was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Genaro Aresti showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 61 minute of play. In the 65th minute of the match, Teddi Gaafar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcelo Silban saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Genaro Aresti's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcelo Silban firmly grabbed it by the left post. David Maureo hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Marcelo Silban acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 72nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Luisito Francis. In the 73rd minute, Maracanaso F.C's Teddi Gaafar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9. After 80 played minutes Gerli Vikings got a freekick which was hit by David Maureo. Marcelo Silban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisito Francis, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Marcelo Silban was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Teddi Gaafar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-10 in the 82 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Maracanaso F.C's Teddi Gaafar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcelo Silban. That made the score 0-11 after 85 minutes of play. In the 89th minute, Agustin Rivero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the game, Maracanaso F.C's Genaro Aresti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Silban made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-12. When Genaro Aresti came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Maracanaso F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Genaro Aresti couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Genaro Aresti got free with Marcelo Silban in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
