An unexpectedly hard shot by Santos Borre in the 8th minute of play forced Yuquerí AFC's goalkeeper Celedonio Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celedonio Lastur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Bertol in the 10th minute of the match. Cabana's Ricky Fage played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zvonimir Boban in the 14th minute of play. Yuquerí AFC were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Cabana's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lino Torres took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cabana's goalie and right to Sergio Abad. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cabana's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 17th minute Santos Borre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celedonio Lastur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Yuquerí AFC's Octavio Garcia got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 19thth minute of the game Santos Borre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yuquerí AFC's Celedonio Lastur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ricky Fage showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Makareus Picoulas, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Celedonio Lastur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Borre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cabana were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Yuquerí AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Celedonio Abarca took the corner. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Makareus Picoulas to strike the kick off in the second half. Gaudencio Bartuelo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celedonio Lastur having to make a save. Ricky Fage took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zvonimir Boban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricky Fage came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Yuquerí AFC's Zvonimir Boban. But to his dismay, Zvonimir Boban quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 58th minute Makareus Picoulas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricky Fage saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celedonio Lastur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santos Borre in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cabana's goalkeeper Ricky Fage, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 66 minutes, Anselmo Baleren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yuquerí AFC and the Cabana players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santos Borre in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celedonio Lastur saved Yuquerí AFC from getting behind. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Yuquerí AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Celedonio Abarca was slow to take the kick. During this time Cabana's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Bjarne Bøjsen managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Celedonio Lastur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Borre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricky Fage came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Yuquerí AFC's Zvonimir Boban. But to his dismay, Zvonimir Boban quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Ricky Fage took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zvonimir Boban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yuquerí AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
