Wasyl Rzeszutek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arda Akgündüz went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 46 played minutes Velez sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Cirilo Dimas. In the 48th minute Vladimiro Otsando managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 88th minute Hernan Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Frechoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91stth minute of the game Arda Akgündüz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Logia Lautaro's Wasyl Rzeszutek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wasyl Rzeszutek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arda Akgündüz in the 93rd minute of play. Arda Akgündüz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wasyl Rzeszutek came out and tried to block the shot, but Arda Akgündüz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded Velez sarsfield left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Logia Lautaro.
