The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Arda Akgündüz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mai Yao Yao. Fracasados's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arda Akgündüz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arda Akgündüz in the 10th minute of play forced Fracasados's goalkeeper Mai Yao Yao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Mai Yao Yao successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 12 minutes of play, Velez sarsfield's Arda Akgündüz made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mai Yao Yao was left in no man's land by his defense there! 15 minutes into the match, Arda Akgündüz notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Fracasados's Mai Yao Yao. Mai Yao Yao was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 19th play minutes Javier Beti shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Narciso Frechoso and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 25th minute, Arda Akgündüz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mai Yao Yao. The goal made the score 4-2. Ciro Tab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Narciso Frechoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Beti in the 37th minute of play. Velez sarsfield's Narciso Frechoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Beti in the 38th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Velez sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Beti came free, but Narciso Frechoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute Arda Akgündüz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mai Yao Yao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guillermo Baleren charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guillermo Baleren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 48 played minutes Velez sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Baleren. In the 49th minute Javier Beti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Frechoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-2.

The wind increased when Tobias Geleberto made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arda Akgündüz in the 54th minute of play forced Fracasados's goalkeeper Mai Yao Yao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mai Yao Yao didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velez sarsfield. If Theagenis Papageorgiou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Tobias Geleberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rainier Gregoire got free with Narciso Frechoso in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fracasados's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Velez sarsfield had won, even though Fracasados had held more of the ball.
