Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Freddy Sabin kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Guaberto Urtsua had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eliseo Pepillo. Palmitas Alem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guaberto Urtsua was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 9th minute, Ekber Cingöz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palmitas Alem fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 13 minutes into the game, Resistencia's Guaberto Urtsua nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eliseo Pepillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Eliseo Pepillo came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Resistencia's Freddy Sabin. But to his dismay, Freddy Sabin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Eliseo Pepillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matías Hendrickx, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Eliseo Pepillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guaberto Urtsua in the 21st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Palmitas Alem defense, Freddy Sabin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eliseo Pepillo. The Palmitas Alem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eliseo Pepillo should have stopped the shot. Resistencia's Adrian Aznar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eliseo Pepillo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Eliseo Pepillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Urtsua, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Guaberto Urtsua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseo Pepillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guaberto Urtsua in the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half Resistencia were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ekber Cingöz to make the kick off. A collision led to Palmitas Alem getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Iker Iaki hit a great ball. In the 51st minute, Guaberto Urtsua reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eliseo Pepillo. The goal made the score 2-5. Freddy Sabin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eliseo Pepillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Eliseo Pepillo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 58th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Adrian Aznar. Gaetano Mathieu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ekber Cingöz in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of Palmitas Alem booed when Resistencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Urtsua didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 played minutes Palmitas Alem got a freekick which was hit by Blas Haritzeder. Gaetano Mathieu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ekber Cingöz's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Palmitas Alem were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Resistencia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Norberto Herena took the corner. The corner led to Palmitas Alem's Nereo Karmel getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Guaberto Urtsuas short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Eliseo Pepillo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Norberto Herena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes in the game Samuel Tiso did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Nereo Karmel. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Guaberto Urtsua put it in 2-7 from a short distance just to the right of Eliseo Pepillo. Resistencia's Gaetano Mathieu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radowit Dudek in the 95th minute of play. The Palmitas Alem supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Resistencia's performance. The match ended with a win for Resistencia.
