The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Triunvirato FC booed when Islas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Eleder didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 5 played minutes Triunvirato FC got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Mendez. Elpidio Frutos scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Egoitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 16th match minute, Islas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Aballe to maneuver through the defense. 俞海扬 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Lamberto having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Gombal in the 20th minute of play forced Islas FC's goalkeeper Marco Egoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Islas FC's Artemio Lamberto threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alvaro Lartaun, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 俞海扬 kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Triunvirato FC's Artemio Lamberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Lartaun in the 28th minute of play. Benito Eleder who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Artemio Lamberto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 36 minutes Islas FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adolfo Mendez who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Triunvirato FC's Adolfo Mendez to fire away a dangerous shot which Marco Egoitz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 41st minute, Uriel Rios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvaro Lartaun during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 44 played minutes Islas FC got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Lartaun. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Victorio Gora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elpidio Frutos got free with Marco Egoitz in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 60 played minutes Islas FC got a freekick which was hit by Benito Eleder. Miguel Gombal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Islas FC's Aquiles Grabiel was substituted for Géza Rákosi. 俞海扬 struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Artemio Lamberto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Islas FC. In the 67th minute, Benito Eleder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute, Alvaro Lartaun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Garoa hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute of the match Benito Eleder shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Artemio Lamberto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Triunvirato FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Rios to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th match minute, Triunvirato FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Gombal to maneuver through the defense. Artemio Lamberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Lartaun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Egoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Mendez in the 95th minute of the match. When Alvaro Lartaun came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Islas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Lartaun couldn't finish the play. The Triunvirato FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Triunvirato FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
