Elpidio Francis scored 0-2 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eliseo Cefero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute of the match Falconara Albanese got a corner. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Honorio Firman ran over to the corner to take the kick. Honorio Firman made a great header on Falconara Albanese's corner, it was just that ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski managed to reach the ball for a save. Eliseo Cefero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Prosperi in the 34th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaarlo Menem in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Branislav Velchevski saved ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting behind. Wawrzyniec Knopek hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Jacinto Loi made in the 39th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Martin Goren immediately put the ball in play. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Francis in the 41st minute of play forced Falconara Albanese's goalkeeper Eliseo Cefero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute Elpidio Francis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseo Cefero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Falconara Albanese players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kaarlo Menem was the one to do the kick off. 68 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Goren came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timoteo Basualdo's late challenge caught a Falconara Albanese's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Branislav Velchevski should have stopped the shot. Falconara Albanese's Wawrzyniec Knopek got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Fulgencio Quico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Timoteo Basualdo hit a great ball. Dráuzio Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Branislav Velchevski having to interfere.
