An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Nikola in the 6th minute of play forced Gimnasia y tiro's goalkeeper Wieslaw Panasewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Baldomero Lehen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pablo Roso kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Fulgencio Nikola's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Wieslaw Panasewicz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Baldomero Lehen took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Wieslaw Panasewicz to make any attempt to save it. Baldomero Lehen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wieslaw Panasewicz having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Fulgencio Nikola could shoot a difficult shot in the 25th minute, which Wieslaw Panasewicz however easily saved by the left post. In the 34th match minute, Gimnasia y tiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Oliverio to maneuver through the defense. Wieslaw Panasewicz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fulgencio Nikola in the 34th minute. 34 minutes into the game, Fulgencio Nikola recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wieslaw Panasewicz. Fulgencio Nikola showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Adolfo Grau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdel Karim Santirso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y tiro's Abdel Karim Santirso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adolfo Grau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 41 minutes, Fulgencio Nikola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brujas KV and the Gimnasia y tiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st minute, Fulgencio Nikola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Brujas KV getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Tincho Breide hit a great ball.

Brujas KV made a substitution. Jonathan Orlandus replaced Baldomero Lehen. Gimnasia y tiro's Raimundo Romano was substituted for Zhu Sha Liang. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Ihintza was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute Emilio Ihintza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wieslaw Panasewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Brujas KV's goal looked a bit too open when Abdel Karim Santirso came free, but Adolfo Grau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brujas KV's Adolfo Grau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdel Karim Santirso in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute Emilio Ihintza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wieslaw Panasewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute Jonathan Orlandus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wieslaw Panasewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brujas KV were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Gimnasia y tiro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Corneliu Hurezan took the corner. The corner led to Brujas KV's Jonathan Orlandus getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Jonathan Orlandus kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Luciano Mouricio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Grau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wieslaw Panasewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Rios in the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Brujas KV's goalkeeper Adolfo Grau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaldo Montrelle. Gimnasia y tiro's Wieslaw Panasewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Orlandus in the 76th minute of play. Reynaldo Montrelle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Adolfo Grau made a huge save. Wieslaw Panasewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Ihintza in the 80th minute of play. Emilio Ihintza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wieslaw Panasewicz having to interfere. Brujas KV's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Corneliu Hurezan in the 87th minute. After having played for 88 minutes, Emilio Ihintza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brujas KV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Ihintza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pablo Roso kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Wieslaw Panasewicz came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Brujas KV's Jonathan Orlandus. But to his dismay, Jonathan Orlandus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Wieslaw Panasewicz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonathan Orlandus's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Adolfo Grau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Mouricio in the 97th minute of play.
