Orlando Lluques was slow to take the kick. During this time Boca Juniors's players had a chance to rest. In the last second Primitivo Fernanco throw himself and got hold of the ball when Emiliano Boni in the 6thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. A collision led to Juniors FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Cayetano Hunfredo hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Boni came free, but Primitivo Fernanco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Ladislao Bertran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juniors FC's Lázaro Colon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lázaro Colon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ladislao Bertran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Boni came free, but Primitivo Fernanco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37thth minute of the game Ladislao Bertran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juniors FC's Lázaro Colon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Uriel Isias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juniors FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Uriel Isias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Primitivo Fernanco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Uriel Isias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Primitivo Fernanco made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Nevada in the 43rd minute of play forced Juniors FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Colon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boca Juniors were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Juniors FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Orlando Lluques took the corner. Emiliano Garaona hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Lázaro Kismi got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 58th match minute, Juniors FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Boni to maneuver through the defense. Romeo Nevada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Boca Juniors's Jonathan-Matias Romero was substituted for Romeo Nevada. Boca Juniors's Alfredo Paraíba was substituted for Dinei Corrêa. Juniors FC made a substitution. Enrique Frasco replaced Uriel Isias. Lázaro Kismi got a throw-in 69 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Marcin Mietus. If Enrique Frasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Primitivo Fernanco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Frasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Primitivo Fernanco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enrique Frasco's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Nicanor Porfirio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Juniors FC's Nicanor Porfirio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Primitivo Fernanco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Primitivo Fernanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Garaona in the 91st minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Jonathan-Matias Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Colon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Boca Juniors players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Juniors FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
