Spectators: 7886 (Terracing: 5915, Seating: 1814, VIP seats: 157) Juniors FC's Uriel Isias started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Andoni Zubizarreta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uriel Isias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Juniors FC booed when Spams was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zhang Cheng Liang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uriel Isias might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andoni Zubizarreta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Uriel Isias ran back to his position shaking his head. Andoni Zubizarreta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Isias in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Uriel Isias threw the ball into play from the sideline. Spams's Agustin Donio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 19thth minute of the game Ernesto Chinto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juniors FC's Lázaro Colon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 33rd minute, Uriel Isias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th minute Ernesto Chinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Colon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Spams's Ernesto Chinto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lázaro Colon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 46th minute Uriel Isias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andoni Zubizarreta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Spams made a substitution. Jiang Li Kang replaced Ernesto Chinto. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jiang Li Kang to make the kick off. Kami Glik kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Andoni Zubizarreta made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Uriel Isias sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Juniors FC defense, Abel Mazza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lázaro Colon. The Juniors FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lázaro Colon should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Juniors FC's Roberto Vedillo got a free kick in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Mazza in the 65th minute of play forced Juniors FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Colon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute Abel Mazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Colon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Spams's Andoni Zubizarreta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Spams from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Atilla Tarkan Üster during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Enrique Frasco replaced Uriel Isias. In the 75th match minute, Spams was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atilla Tarkan Üster to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrique Frasco got free with Andoni Zubizarreta in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lázaro Colon came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Spams's Jiang Li Kang. But to his dismay, Jiang Li Kang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Satordi in the 82nd minute of play forced Spams's goalkeeper Andoni Zubizarreta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Spams's Atilla Tarkan Üster got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Spams's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Enrique Frasco scored to the left of an out of position Andoni Zubizarreta, making the score, 2-1. Lázaro Colon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Mazza in the 96th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Juniors FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Spams.
