Emiliano Martínez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olly May, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Leandro Lorien had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lia Vela. Club Sports Pergamino's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Lorien was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Clemente Ibon took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emiliano Martínez. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leandro Lorien in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lia Vela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Clemente Ibon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Martínez having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Club Sports Pergamino got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Izotz. Leandro Lorien might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lia Vela. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leandro Lorien ran back to his position shaking his head. 48 minutes into the match, Club Sports Pergamino's goalkeeper Lia Vela had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leandro Lorien. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raul Ondino to strike the kick off in the second half. If Rene Sarracino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The supporters of Fecha Libre booed when Club Sports Pergamino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Jakue didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Sports Pergamino players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
