Genaro Quiroga was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Vasil Štěpaník capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vasil Štěpaník really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 27 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Laurgain came free, but Genaro Quiroga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Laurgain might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Genaro Quiroga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Efe Hanefi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Traian Mugur, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. A collision led to C.A.C. 10 getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Leopoldo Lleir hit a great ball. In the 48th minute Romulo Casado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Efe Hanefi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
