The referee felt a red card was in order, 4 minutes into the game, when Gogo Frantzes put in a rough tackle. 3 minutes into the game, one of Monte Hermoso Beach:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Maikel Jol walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 7 minutes into the match, Monte Hermoso Beach's goalkeeper Eloy Raymundo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Segundo Rocca. In the 11th minute Martin Suy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Raymundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Monte Hermoso Beach's Dé Manfredi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bartolo Idacio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Monte Hermoso Beach's Eloy Raymundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xu Wei Kun in the 18th minute of play. After having played for 19 minutes, Dé Manfredi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monte Hermoso Beach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dé Manfredi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martin Suy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Monte Hermoso Beach getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Leo Garcia hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Xu Wei Kun kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eloy Raymundo. That made the score 3-1 in the 29 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Independiente's Maikel Jol slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eloy Raymundo. That made the score 4-1 after 32 minutes of play. Eloy Raymundo made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Xu Wei Kun sent off a good shot on target. Ciriaco Maule received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eloy Raymundo came out and tried to block the shot, but Ciriaco Maule slotted it home off the left post making it 5-1 in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Martin Suy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eloy Raymundo. Monte Hermoso Beach's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Suy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Xu Wei Kun made the kick off in the second half. Ciriaco Maule recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute, Martin Suy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maikel Jol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Raymundo having to interfere. After some careless play in the Monte Hermoso Beach defense, Martin Suy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eloy Raymundo. The Monte Hermoso Beach fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eloy Raymundo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maikel Jol in the 62nd minute of play forced Monte Hermoso Beach's goalkeeper Eloy Raymundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Martin Suy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eloy Raymundo was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-1. In the 74th minute, Martin Suy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-1. Eloy Raymundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciriaco Maule, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Eloy Raymundo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xu Wei Kun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Ciriaco Maule notched a goal, 11-1, to the right of Monte Hermoso Beach's Eloy Raymundo. Eloy Raymundo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dé Manfredi got free with Bartolo Idacio in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 88th minute Xu Wei Kun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Raymundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentino Gomesano in the 91st minute of play forced Monte Hermoso Beach's goalkeeper Eloy Raymundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lázaro Osasun charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lázaro Osasun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 92 played minutes Monte Hermoso Beach got a freekick which was hit by Lázaro Osasun. In the 93rd minute Xu Wei Kun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Raymundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Ciriaco Maule was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Independiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monte Hermoso Beach the free kick. Eloy Raymundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xu Wei Kun in the 98th minute of play. Independiente walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
