When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eric Oltean made a kick off. Torsten Västerberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Berasko, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Atlético Nacional's Angelo Distiratsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Gitano in the 55th minute of play. Angelo Distiratsu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 70th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jesus Sabin. Torsten Västerberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kang Wei Yue, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Torsten Västerberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celino Novo got free with Angelo Distiratsu in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute, Jeroen Roofhoof hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
