Germain Poli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Cipriano Firmin made a huge save. Red Bull Crystallis's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by William Bodin in the 9th minute. Germain Polis short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Cipriano Firmin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 10 minutes into the game, Germain Poli lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Cipriano Firmin. 14 minutes into the match, Red Bull Crystallis's goal looked a bit too open when Costin Duca came free, but Octavio Efraim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Octavio Efraim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fan Xing Zhou in the 18th minute of play. Octavio Efraim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fan Xing Zhou, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Red Bull Crystallis's attentive Leandro Gilesindo managed to snatch the ball when Siro Llorienzo made a throw-in in the 46th minute of the game. The Red Bull Crystallis players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Salmuera CP were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rene Flor was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Rene Flor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cipriano Firmin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rene Flor in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cipriano Firmin saved Salmuera CP from getting behind. 56 minutes into the game, Red Bull Crystallis's Rene Flor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cipriano Firmin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Octavio Efraim was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Costin Duca showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-3 in the 59 minute of play. Salmuera CP's Fan Xing Zhou got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Octavio Efraim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Martinez in the 63rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fan Xing Zhou got free with Octavio Efraim in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Despite being the better team, Salmuera CP failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
