In the 13thth minute of the game Tiburcio Marques who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estudiantes de América's Marcos Ranolfo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcos Ranolfo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiburcio Marques's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Blas Colas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Concetto Trasatti in the 16th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiburcio Marques to make the kick off. Erasmo Campidelis kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ made a substitution. Ricardo Chepe replaced Ovidio Marin. In the 88th minute Maximo Dei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blas Colas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Jorge Joachim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Iraunkor in the 95th minute of play forced ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's goalkeeper Blas Colas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
