A collision led to Kotraža getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Slobodan Božilović hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Momčilo Cilinšek charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Momčilo Cilinšek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 51 played minutes Kotraža got a freekick which was hit by Momčilo Cilinšek. Zygmunt Kostrzewski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Momčilo Cilinšek in the 62nd minute. After 64 minutes, Momčilo Cilinšek made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. In the 89th minute, Novica Gaković left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BG LAVOVI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 92nd minute, Milijan Jevremović hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zygmunt Kostrzewski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Slobodan Božilović in the 93rd minute. Velizar Mijić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. BG LAVOVI's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
