The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Melida AND Eldar FK's goalkeeper Nikola Zenović, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 6th minute Pantelija Milonjić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikola Zenović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute Nedjeljko Krstičić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanasije Saletić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nikola Zenović came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Whitton AFC's Eldar Pejaković. But to his dismay, Eldar Pejaković quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 20 minutes of play, Melida AND Eldar FK's Isko Pižurica made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tanasije Saletić was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tanasije Saletić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nedjeljko Krstičić in the 23rd minute of play. Vojin Kiš's late challenge caught a Whitton AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vojin Kiš helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th match minute, Melida AND Eldar FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vojin Kiš to maneuver through the defense. Tanasije Saletić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nedjeljko Krstičić in the 29th minute of the match. The supporters of Melida AND Eldar FK booed when Whitton AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milovan Banović didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nedjeljko Krstičić in the 39th minute of play forced Whitton AFC's goalkeeper Tanasije Saletić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

51 minutes into the match, Melida AND Eldar FK's goal looked a bit too open when Pantelija Milonjić came free, but Nikola Zenović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 52 minutes into the game, Eldar Pejaković was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Whitton AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Melida AND Eldar FK the free kick. Tanasije Saletić didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isko Pižurica went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 58th minute, Isko Pižurica made a precise shot to the right of Tanasije Saletić. Whitton AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. The audience was convinced that Nedjeljko Krstičić's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tanasije Saletić was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Melida AND Eldar FK's Nikola Zenović proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Melida AND Eldar FK from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pantelija Milonjić in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nikola Zenović prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eldar Pejaković could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Nikola Zenović made a huge save. In the 80th minute, Melida AND Eldar FK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nikola Radan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Pantelija Milonjić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikola Zenović having to interfere. Melida AND Eldar FK's Nikola Zenović proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Melida AND Eldar FK from getting a goal against them. Vojin Kiš kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Melida AND Eldar FK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
