When Llwyd Quarrier fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Llangollen's protests and gave Llwyd Quarrier a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Llwyd Quarrier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, UWA Caerleon's goalkeeper Ysgawyn Hoague had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caledvwich Epps. In the 16th minute, Caledvwich Epps hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amaethon Ironside might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Seith Hatch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amaethon Ironside ran back to his position shaking his head. Amaethon Ironside received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. The supporters of UWA Caerleon booed when Llangollen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cadfael Donnelly didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 29 played minutes Llwyd Quarrier rounded UWA Caerleon's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Amerawdwr Adrain charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amerawdwr Adrain the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Amerawdwr Adrain hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Caledvwich Epps managed to get in a good position for a shot. Llangollen's supporters rose to their feet, but Caledvwich Epps was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ysgawyn Hoague breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amaethon Ironside struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Seith Hatch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Caerleon. With a little luck, UWA Caerleon's Ysgawyn Hoague got control of the ball when Llwyd Quarrier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Llangollen's Seith Hatch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogart Finkley in the 42nd minute of play. Bogart Finkley kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bogart Finkley to make the kick off. If Llwyd Quarrier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Llwyd Quarrier in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ysgawyn Hoague saved UWA Caerleon from getting behind. Arglwydd Forbes kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Amaethon Ironside sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amaethon Ironside's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Seith Hatch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Llangollen fans cheered their team off the field, for while UWA Caerleon had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
