Spectators: 6781 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1781, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gwawl Knollys took the kick off in the first half of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Caerleon FC's Cairn Elkins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gwallter Dale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Caerleon FC's zone, Dewey Dell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tristram Copp came out of the goal and Dewey Dell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute Dewey Dell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristram Copp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cairn Elkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Gwallter Dale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tristram Copp made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Ceri Jackson sent off a good shot on target. Cairn Elkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gwallter Dale having to interfere. Ceri Jackson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Tristram Copp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, UWA Bridgend was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alwyn Holway to maneuver through the defense. Cairn Elkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cairn Elkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gwallter Dale having to interfere. Cairn Elkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gwallter Dale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dewey Dell was the one to do the kick off. Gwallter Dale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cairn Elkins in the 57th minute. After 63 played minutes, Caerleon FC's Owein Chapman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gwallter Dale came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caerleon FC reached it. Gwallter Dale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwawl Knollys, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After 76 minutes of play, UWA Bridgend's Ceri Jackson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tristram Copp was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Ceri Jackson came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the UWA Bridgend fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ceri Jackson couldn't finish the play. Gwawl Knollys might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gwallter Dale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gwawl Knollys ran back to his position shaking his head. Cairn Elkins succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 82nd playminute. Tristram Copp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dewey Dell, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
