Bridgend's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Port Talbot the free kick. The supporters of Port Talbot booed when Bridgend was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hydd Devlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Drych Doran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davis Lockwood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Drych Doran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davis Lockwood in the 21st minute of the match. Pwyll Foote didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Griffith Jones went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 26th minute Davis Lockwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Drych Doran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brice Spinster in the 28th minute of play forced Bridgend's goalkeeper Drych Doran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Davis Lockwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Ren Fox put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Pwyll Foote. Griffith Jones struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Pwyll Foote didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bridgend. After 42 minutes of play, Port Talbot's Brice Spinster made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Drych Doran was left in no man's land by his defense there! The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Davis Lockwood made a kick off. With a little luck, Bridgend's Drych Doran got control of the ball when Brice Spinster tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pwyll Foote showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Griffith Jones, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Griffith Jones took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pwyll Foote. Brice Spinster could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Drych Doran made a huge save. 73 minutes into the match, Bridgend's Griffith Jones sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pwyll Foote narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Port Talbot's goalkeeper Pwyll Foote, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bridgend.
