The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Howell Forsyth charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Howell Forsyth the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th match minute, Barmouth Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Howell Forsyth to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Naw Andrew's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Madawg Bateson was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Naw Andrew struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Madawg Bateson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knighton. The coaching staff of Knighton protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Amren Fergus had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 16th minute, one of Knighton:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Knighton. If Naw Andrew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 30 minutes, Caddoc Gillespie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barmouth Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caddoc Gillespie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Caddoc Gillespie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bercelak Lamerton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Parry Hawley having to interfere. Modred Giddy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Parry Hawley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rd match minute, Barmouth Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tarrant Bushfield to maneuver through the defense. If Bercelak Lamerton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adwr Lacey during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Knighton's Naw Andrew got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kai Langworthy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 75 minutes, Bercelak Lamerton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barmouth Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bercelak Lamerton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Naw Andrews short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Madawg Bateson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tarrant Bushfield struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Knighton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ceithin Huckaby was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Naw Andrew received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Madawg Bateson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
