The crowd rose to their feet as Port Talbot's Gamon Hobbs slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anyon Covell. That made the score 2-0 after 20 minutes of play. Gamon Hobbs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to UWA Swansea getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Lludd Gibson hit a great ball. If Mordwywr Costello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 played minutes UWA Swansea got a freekick which was hit by Drych Bruce. In the 37th minute, Edmyg Lunshekaun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anyon Covell was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After having played for 42 minutes, Edmyg Lunshekaun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Port Talbot's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmyg Lunshekaun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmyg Lunshekaun got free with Anyon Covell in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gamon Hobbs was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes, Perceval Foley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Port Talbot and the UWA Swansea players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gamon Hobbs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Anyon Covell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
