Spectators: 7873 (Terracing: 6025, Seating: 1848, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Selwyn Lacey kicked off to start the match. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Selwyn Lacey got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Barry Utd's Peredur Herrington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Selwyn Lacey in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Moesen Brody could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Peredur Herrington however easily saved by the left post. Peredur Herrington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Selwyn Lacey, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Llwyr Spurrer scored 1-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Peredur Herrington, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Bogart Giggs came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Barry Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bogart Giggs couldn't finish the play. If Kynlas Hadley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Peredur Herrington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Selwyn Lacey in the 36th minute of the match. Trevelyan Bergin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogart Giggs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peredur Herrington stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Selwyn Lacey's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Renfrew Holloway during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Renfrew Holloway kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kynlas Hadley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Trevelyan Bergin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kynlas Hadley in the 52nd minute of play. Barry Utd's Bogart Giggs got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Selwyn Lacey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peredur Herrington having to interfere. Rhys Hobson kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Selwyn Lacey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Moesen Brody sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, Barry Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Moesen Brody came free, but Peredur Herrington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Selwyn Lacey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Selwyn Lacey in the 84th minute of play forced Barry Utd's goalkeeper Peredur Herrington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peredur Herrington stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Selwyn Lacey's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Selwyn Lacey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kynlas Hadley in the 90th minute of play forced Cowbridge Rovers's goalkeeper Trevelyan Bergin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 minutes of play Cowbridge Rovers's Renfrew Holloway was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Renfrew Holloway hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Cowbridge Rovers's Trevelyan Bergin got control of the ball when Bogart Giggs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cowbridge Rovers's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Kynlas Hadley 96 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. The Barry Utd players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Cowbridge Rovers from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
