Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Keith Yeoman started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Chepstow's goal looked a bit too open when Gorsedd Eckles came free, but Gwyddno Creagh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rheged Foody during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 5th minute, Rheged Foody hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the match, Bors Goodman notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Montgomery's Cerwyn Jordan. Cerwyn Jordan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Clyde Isham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cerwyn Jordan having to interfere. Cerwyn Jordan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clyde Isham in the 16th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Clyde Isham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cerwyn Jordan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cerwyn Jordan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bors Goodman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gwyddno Creagh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceithin Hoskins in the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clyde Isham in the 25th minute of play forced Montgomery's goalkeeper Cerwyn Jordan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cerwyn Jordan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clyde Isham, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Cerwyn Jordan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keith Yeoman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Keith Yeoman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cerwyn Jordan. Montgomery's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Keith Yeoman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 36th match minute, Montgomery was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iolo Finneran to maneuver through the defense. Montgomery's Cerwyn Jordan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clyde Isham in the 41st minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Montgomery's goal looked a bit too open when Keith Yeoman came free, but Cerwyn Jordan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Drudwas Cribban was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montgomery's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chepstow the free kick. A collision led to Montgomery getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Drudwas Cribban hit a great ball. Chepstow's Clyde Isham couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Montgomery. After the first half Chepstow were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gorsedd Eckles to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Chepstow booed when Montgomery was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Drudwas Cribban didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 54 minutes, Keith Yeoman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chepstow's supporters crossed their fingers, but Keith Yeoman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cerwyn Jordan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keith Yeoman, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Clyde Isham scored 0-3 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cerwyn Jordan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Montgomery's Cerwyn Jordan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Montgomery from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Montgomery's Drudwas Cribban got a free kick in the 69th minute. When Clyde Isham came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Chepstow fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clyde Isham couldn't finish the play. 71 minutes into the match, Chepstow's goal looked a bit too open when Ceithin Hoskins came free, but Gwyddno Creagh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Montgomery's Bradwr Lavery got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Lovel Hinton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cerwyn Jordan. Montgomery's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Chepstow's Gwyddno Creagh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gorsedd Eckles in the 76th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Montgomery's goal looked a bit too open when Clyde Isham came free, but Cerwyn Jordan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Bradwr Lavery left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montgomery fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. A collision led to Montgomery getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Bradwr Lavery hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Chepstow's Bors Goodman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cerwyn Jordan. Cerwyn Jordan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. After 95 minutes of play, Montgomery's Bradwr Lavery made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gwyddno Creagh was left in no man's land by his defense there!
