The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Trefor Cantwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Rhyl's Teilo Rush got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute, Greid Tinsmith hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ol Clements in the 12th minute of play forced Barry Athletic CF's goalkeeper Kaspar Trump to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Granwen Fischer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rhyl's supporters crossed their fingers, but Granwen Fischer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ol Clements received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Kaspar Trump tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Barry Athletic CF's goal looked a bit too open when Trefor Cantwell came free, but Kaspar Trump reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Granwen Fischer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Granwen Fischer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Kaspar Trump made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Barry Athletic CF's zone, Trefor Cantwell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaspar Trump came out of the goal and Trefor Cantwell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 40 played minutes Barry Athletic CF got a freekick which was hit by Greid Tinsmith. Trefor Cantwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Granwen Fischer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Trefor Cantwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaspar Trump having to interfere. Kaspar Trump stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Granwen Fischer's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Kaspar Trump took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Granwen Fischer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Trefor Cantwell in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kaspar Trump prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gwallawg Bury kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. The Rhyl fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when Rhyl's Granwen Fischer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kaspar Trump took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ysgawyn Gilboy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kaspar Trump showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Granwen Fischer, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Granwen Fischer in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kaspar Trump prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kaspar Trump stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Granwen Fischer's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. A collision led to Barry Athletic CF getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Addolgar Hubert hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Granwen Fischer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rhyl fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After some careless play in the Barry Athletic CF defense, Granwen Fischer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kaspar Trump. The Barry Athletic CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kaspar Trump should have stopped the shot. 97 minutes into the match, Rhyl's Trefor Cantwell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kaspar Trump narrowly saved just below the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rhyl had played much better football throughout.
